Just a quick update this week. Unfortunately the fry didn’t
survive the week. It’s more or less what I’d expected to be honest, we just don’t
have the kit to sustain them at the moment. We’ve got 11 adults now though, well
on the way to what we’ll need to get started when the facility is finally
ready. We’ve also found a good easily collected wild food for them, I’ll try
and get some good film footage of them feeding to stick up here at some point
this week, it’s pretty impressive.
I spent quite a bit of time this week trying to get the piping
for the facility laid out, due to my complete lack of plumbing experience it’s
been interesting to say the least. I’m also not used to the heat at all yet,
and came pretty close to heatstroke on Thursday night, which wasn’t the most fun
thing ever. We should get that completed tomorrow though, ready for the
concrete slab to be laid sometime this week.
The Panto’s coming together nicely, my costumes ridiculous, mainly
consisting of a hideous shiny purple jacket. It does manage to exacerbate the
stupidity of the wig nicely with it’s shiny purpleness. The lady who made it made
it a tad too small for my shoulders though. It should be properly fitted by rehearsal
tomorrow, and I’ll be able to look super special, and not a little bit sweaty
either, nice eh!
