This week’s main accomplishment was these shelves:
They’re our new phytoplankton home. We’ve linked up each
shelf to a pipe which supplies air to the bottles without messing around with
airline, which would be a right pain in the buttocks once
the shelves are full! Having a big shelving unit like this should mean that we’ll
finally be able to ramp phytoplankton production up, it’s vital to have a reliable
source of the stuff, as it’s the basis of our food chain. I definitely got far
more excited than most people would to see a shelving unit with some bottles of
green water in.
The supports for the last floor of the building were removed
today, so we can now see what the office floor’s going to look like, it’s not a
bad view:
It was Penny’s 50th on Tuesday and she had a
Mardi Gras party. There was a really good band and excellent food at a place
across the water from Mombasa, the city’s quite pretty in the dark! I managed 4
spinning sessions, a gym session and volleyball as well, I’m verging on feeling
fit, although not quite there yet. I went out on Friday night as well, which
resulted in missing my alarm on Saturday morning, oops.
It’s not been all that blog worthy a week to be honest, here’s
hoping for an interesting few days this week!
